Tuscany is world-famous for its scenery, for the untouched nature of its hills, for its art and architecture, for centuries-old traditions and typical products of its territory.
For thousands of years this land, thanks to the care and skill of the peasants, has always produced fantastic products such as truffles, olive oil and definitely the wine, rich with flavour and fragrances that will seduce your taste buds.
Tuscany is a land of wine. Of the 350 types of vines in Italy about 40 indigenous varieties are present in Tuscany.
From the heart of the tradition in Chianti near Florence to the coast with the “supertuscans”, born in the 70s of the last century with the introduction of grapes of the Bordeaux varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in the preparation of Chianti thus creating "new" flavours which immediately became famous for their body combined with a unique taste in the world.
Inland Tuscany is a succession of unique landscapes, distinguished by soft colourful hills, stretches of olive groves and rows of vineyards, with small villages scattered on top of hills, stone farmhouses and characteristic villages, churches with bell towers form this wonderful territory.
The landscapes are so fascinating and particular that, after being photographed, they are often reproduced in postcards and calendars and distributed worldwide.
Tuscan wines are known and exported all over the world. Connoisseurs and enthusiasts tour the area to discover wine cellars and vineyards.
The wine can be drunk by itself, but when it’s accompanied by local products the flavours and the typical aromas of these famous wines are enhanced.
Tasting "prestigious labels”, savouring the excellent vintage wines, or discovering new blends, combined with other typical local products such as cheese or salami to delight the taste of the palate.
It’s a unique experience that only Tuscany can offer and we highly recommend that you try and take the memory, smells and the typical taste of Tuscany with you.
The wine tastings are generally proposed by Wine bars, farms and even directly from wineries who allow you to visit the wine cellars where the wines are produced or by hiking directly through the vineyards on the hills, all illustrated and explained by the winemakers or by the farms themselves.
Once the area, or the wine of interest, has been decided upon we will take you directly into the cellars to taste, and let yourselves be captured by these products and by these places.
We are at your disposal to take you on a daytrip full of taste and tradition.
Keep in mind that some farms or businesses require reservation for wine tasting or tours, while for others you can simply show up directly.
